TERMS OF USE.
The Terms of Use and Risk Disclosure every wallet signs before it trades on STRIKE.
The agreement
These Terms of Use and Risk Disclosure (the "Terms") govern your use of the STRIKE website, terminal, Telegram bot and related interfaces (the "Interface") and your interaction, through them, with the STRIKE smart contracts on Robinhood Chain (the "Protocol"). "We" and "us" mean the operator of the Interface.
By connecting a wallet and signing these Terms, or by otherwise using the Interface, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Interface.
Who may use STRIKE
STRIKE is not offered to, and may not be used by, anyone who is a citizen or resident of, or located in, any of these places (the "Restricted Jurisdictions"):
- The United States and its territories (Puerto Rico, Guam, the US Virgin Islands, American Samoa, the Northern Mariana Islands).
- The European Union and the wider EEA (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway).
- The United Kingdom.
- Canada.
- Australia.
- Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Russia, Belarus, Myanmar, and the Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.
- Any other place where binary options, fixed-odds trading or the use of the Interface is prohibited or requires a licence we do not hold.
What you confirm when you sign
Every wallet signs these statements before it can trade, deposit, or join a funded challenge. Each time you use the Interface you repeat them:
- I am not a US person, and I am not a citizen or resident of, or located in, the United States or its territories.
- I am not a resident of, or located in, the EU or EEA, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, or any other restricted or sanctioned place listed in the Terms.
- I am not using a VPN, proxy or any other means to hide where I am.
- I am not named on any sanctions list (including OFAC, UN, EU and UK lists), and I am not acting for anyone who is.
- I am at least 18 and of legal age to trade where I live, and trading here is legal for me.
- I understand binary options are high risk: I can lose my entire stake on every trade, and nothing on STRIKE is financial advice.
- I understand STRIKE runs on smart contracts that have not been independently audited, and I use them at my own risk.
- I have read and agree to the STRIKE Terms of Use and Risk Disclosure.
What STRIKE is
- The Protocol is a set of smart contracts that accept fixed-time, fixed-odds trades on whether a price will close above or below its entry, and settle them against Pyth oracle prices. The Interface is one way to reach it.
- We do not hold your funds or your keys. Your wallet signs every transaction, and balances are held by the contracts.
- Nothing on STRIKE is investment, financial, legal or tax advice, a recommendation, or an offer to buy or sell any security or financial instrument. Markets named after stocks, currencies or private companies are price references only: a trade gives you no ownership of, or rights in, any underlying asset.
- We are not a broker, exchange, bank, investment adviser or fiduciary, and we are not licensed or regulated as any of them in any jurisdiction.
Risk disclosure
- Binary options are high risk. A losing trade loses its entire stake, and most traders lose money. Only trade what you can afford to lose completely.
- The house has a built-in edge: the fixed return on a win is always less than the stake you risk, and a close exactly equal to entry is a loss. Over many trades the expected result is a loss.
- Short expiries are close to random. Past results, streaks and leaderboards say nothing about future results.
- The contracts have been tested but not independently audited. Bugs, exploits or failures can cause partial or total loss of funds.
- Settlement depends on Pyth prices and on Robinhood Chain. Outages, delays, reorganisations, congestion or incorrect oracle data can delay settlement, trigger refunds, or produce outcomes you did not expect. Oracle prices are final.
- Your entry is the first oracle price after your trade lands on-chain, which can differ from the price shown when you tapped.
- USDG, ETH and any other token involved can lose value, be frozen by its issuer, or become illiquid. Conversions can suffer slippage.
- Depositing into the bankroll vault means taking the other side of traders: its value can fall, and withdrawals can be limited while funds cover open trades.
- Laws on crypto and binary options change. A change could force the Interface to restrict or stop access, including in the place you live.
Trades, prices and settlement
- A trade's return is fixed when it is accepted and shown to you before you confirm. The operator can change returns, bet limits, expiries and available markets for new trades at any time, and can pause new trades. Open trades keep their terms.
- UP wins only if the close is strictly higher than entry; DOWN only if strictly lower. Anything else is a loss.
- A trade that cannot be priced is refundable in full after the waiting period stated in the Docs.
- Transactions on a blockchain are final. We cannot reverse, cancel or refund a trade, a deposit or a transfer.
- Network fees are yours to pay.
What you must not do
- Use the Interface from, or on behalf of anyone in, a Restricted Jurisdiction, or use a VPN, proxy or other means to hide where you are.
- Use the Interface if you, or anyone you act for, are named on a sanctions list, or to handle proceeds of crime.
- Exploit a bug, latency, stale or incorrect price, or any other fault in the Interface, the Protocol or an oracle; manipulate a price or an oracle; or use automated tools to exploit those faults.
- Run several wallets to farm points, referral rewards, tournament prizes or funded challenges, or collude with others to do so.
- Interfere with, overload or attack the Interface, the Protocol or other users.
Demo, points, rewards and prizes
- Demo credits are practice credits with no monetary value. They can't be withdrawn, sold or exchanged.
- Beta points, tiers, streaks, quests, referral rewards and tournament prizes are promotional. We can change, suspend or end any of them, and change how they are counted, at any time.
- Points carry no promise of any token, airdrop or payment. Any future use of them is at our discretion.
- Rewards earned through prohibited conduct, including multiple wallets, wash trading or exploiting a fault, can be withheld or forfeited.
Funded accounts
- Funded challenges trade a simulated balance. The challenge fee buys an evaluation; it is not a deposit and is not refundable.
- Payouts come only from the funded-account payout pool and only on the contract's rules. If the pool can't cover a payout, it waits until it can.
Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for your wallet, its keys and its security. Anyone with your keys can trade and withdraw as you.
- You are responsible for knowing and following the laws that apply to you, and for any taxes on your trading.
- The information you confirm when you sign must be true. If it stops being true, stop using the Interface.
No warranty and limits of liability
- The Interface and the Protocol are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of prices or data, or uninterrupted service.
- To the fullest extent the law allows, we, our contributors and affiliates are not liable for any loss or damage from your use of, or inability to use, the Interface or the Protocol, including trading losses, lost profits, smart contract or oracle failures, network problems, hacks or third-party actions.
- Where liability can't be excluded, it is limited to the greater of USD 100 or the fees you paid to the Interface in the 3 months before the claim.
- You will indemnify us against claims, losses and costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your breach of any law, or false statements in your signed confirmation.
Blocking access and changes
- We can restrict, suspend or end your access to the Interface at any time, including by country, IP address or wallet, without notice.
- We can update these Terms. A new version asks every wallet to sign again before it can continue.
- If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
